Hurtebise seminars

Saint-Hubert, Belgian Luxembourg, Belgium

Five days Every June and October

Details and registration on Seminars page

The Hurtebise seminars are one of Tankokai Belgium’s long-standing core activities: an intensive Chado practice seminar held in the Ardennes near Saint-Hubert since 1993. Hosted by the Hurtebise monastery, the seminar gives practitioners a rare period of intensive and sustained study.

Following the tradition of Nojiri sensei's teaching, emphasis is placed of the integration of zen mediation and breating into tea practice. The schedule mimics that of a zen temple, with shared chores and meditation at the start and end of each day.
